A SOPHISTICATED INTERIOR FOR A PRIVATE CLIENT, CORK

Informed by its muted, soft and earthy overall palette, a calming yet intelligent interior formed around a multifunctional reception space, featuring welcoming reception desk and Tonella armchairs by Sancal, soft seating and high collaboration table, each area dictated by the storage outlining it, including bespoke credenzas with contrasting sliding doors and raised shelves and a kitchenette wall. Oak wall slats and doors bank one wall with glazed partitions revealing meeting and focus spaces, featuring the same oak and muted tones, paired with acoustic wall panels and glassboards by Chatboard. An open plan workspace, with banks of height adjustable Leap bench desks bookended by storage and lockers as well as soft seating for meetings and relaxation loops the perimeter of the space, taking in the full views of Cork City.

A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT FOR MORGAN MCKINLEY

Working in collaboration with designers and other specialists, Interactive Interiors provided a few key elements of an overall stellar design. Essens tables by Inclass are found throughout, such as at bespoke rounded meeting booths clad in metal and a tall version can be found at a breakout space within the open plan workspace, paired with black framed workstations, each bank featuring bespoke planter units. Beyond the reception, a walkway and meeting hub is banked on one side by Lockerwall by Bisley, offering tailormade storage solutions for staff. A canteen, also containing tall Essens tables, features a breakout area with pool table and media unit, with Drum poufs by Softline.

COMMUNAL SPACES FOR CORK BASED STUDENT ACCOMODATION

Beginning with a bespoke reception desk at one of two new Nido locations, an open, collaborative and welcoming space also features two work desks using SMILE recycled plastics as table tops, coupled with a soft seating nook and letterboxes from the Safety Letterbox Co. leading to a hub/relaxation space featuring high backed banquet seating and a further Nook Pet felt chair by DeVorm. Beyond the reception lies the cafe, with bespoke kitchenette and high bar area, as well as low Inox tables by Pedrali, each with Natural Guilia chairs by S.Cab Design in contrasting colours. Neon lighting and pin boards complete the space, looking out onto Cork’s busy Washington Street.A lounge featuring a table tennis table, built in seating and soft furnishing offers comfort and feelings of home, mirrored by a dining area beyond, with a further kitchenette and soft seating lounge. Games and study rooms provide areas to both unwind and learn, with bespoke wall shelving and bench desking for collaboration.

A NEW OFFICE DESIGN FOR CORK BASED JANSSEN

A full premises design and fitout for Janssen, featuring a multitude of communal spaces linked by consistant design elements such as wall joinery and materiality, with oak and fabric choices repeated throughout. Slat partitions create a sense of individual spaces without confining each area, such as small and larger breakouts, with soft seating by Sancal and Softline. A large boardroom features a bespoke meeting table with glass inseert, paired with the Nulite by Luxy, and a built in credenza/ wall element of wood and fabric panels. A Mito height adjustable desk and credenza unit by MDD was used in the manager’s office, as well as the Worl occasional chairs by Humanscale, for meetings and brainstorming.

RECEPTION SOFT SEATING AND MEETING SPACES FOR FLEXI SPACES IN CORK

A collection of soft seating and standout canteen area form the main areas of flexi spaces located in Cork City, with bespoke bench seating along the windows and high central bar area with matching kitchenette with textured wall coverings facing the main walkway. Two mirrored meeting rooms feature bespoke trestle tables and Nulite chairs by Luxy beneath feature ceiling and wall timber panelling fins. In an adjacent building, a further flexi space features a breakout space with the Grace armchairs by MDD, and a stellar canteen space, with 3d ripple acoustic wall and various joinery items, including booth seating and long kitchenette. A variety of meeting and focus rooms featuring the same fin details complete the space. A further social area contains a bespoke stepped seating element and storage, as well as the Grow stools by Frovi. Throughout the design, various thematic coloured glassboards, by Chatboard, complete the branded colour scheme.

ACOUSTICS AND FITOUT FOR A PRIVATE CLIENT, PENROSE DOCK

Hexagonal acoustic panels suspended from the ceiling by Autex are the main visual connection between the reception and main multi-use space in a private clients’s new Cork location, in select colours offering a uniform language between areas, paired with bespoke wall panelling with inlaid TVs and a Hush phonebooth. Soft furnishing such as the Scope two seater, Moai pod chair by softline in the reception follow this same colourway of blues and greens, while a Coco swivel, also by Softline, in a breakout room and Wing chairs by actiu in the canteen interject red tones throughout. In the large multi-use space, Ypsilon flip top tables with lime oak tops offer individual or group working/ training capabilities paired with the Ariz sled based chair by Profim.

A RECEPTION DESK FOR DENNEHY’S NEWEST LOCATION

An organic wave, in signature orange High gloss laminate greets all who enter the reception of Dennehy’s newest gym in Penrose Dock, Cork. The aptly named Wave, by MDD, features HPL coloured front and laminate MFC worktop, complete with lower section element for inclusivity and access.

A NEW OFFICE DESIGN FOR REMITLY

The Valde reception desk by MDD and Tonella armchairs by Sancal are key focal points to the reception of Remitly, offering an information as well as waiting/ quick meeting spots amongst the branded walls, coffee dock and planting, all overlooking the Atrium space of Penrose dock. Enclosed focus rooms lead to sectioned workstation zones, dominated by the Leap height adjustable twin bench desks with screens denoting each area. Small nook breakouts are dotted throughout, such as two Nudo armchairs by sancal with a moon coffee table by Inclass, perfect for touching base or taking a break. Larger meeting rooms feature the Arkitek meeting table by Actiu surrouonded by the Varya tapiz meeting chair by Inclass, upholstered and on castors. Glassboards by Chatboard are used throughout, white against the selected blue walls. Muted yet playful colours were chosen for the canteen Varya polypropylene seating, by Inclass, paired with bespoke picnic style tables.
